1. You must want to change. The Bible says, “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, ‘Men and brethren, what shall we do?’” (Acts 2.37 KJV).
2. Acknowledge you are a sinner. The Bible says, “They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one” (Rom. 3.12 KJV).
3. Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit” (1 Pet. 3.18 NLT).
4. Make it personal. The Bible says, Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world” (John 4.42 NKJV).
5. Pray this prayer: Jesus, I believe you died on the cross and rose again to deliver me from eternal damnation (hell). Please forgive me for all of my sins. Amen.
